The Nymph-Head Heavy-Metal trout fly collection is built upon the best nymph patterns
found in every angler's fly box. The vibrant anodized bead colors offer irresistible fly color
combinations while the addition of '3-D nymph eyes' creates a more realistic insect profile.
By utilizing some the fastest sinking
tungsten beads on the planet, these flies get in the
strike-zone faster and stay there longer.

Nymph-Head flies represent a more convincing imitation of aquatic trout food.

Great product at a reasonable price. These flies came packed and labeled by type and size really convenient to organize and to help me learn the type and differences between different flies. Will order again without hesitation.

These flies look great out of the package and I can't wait to fish them. Packaging labeling is equally as great

Great patterns and surprising quality! Exceeded my expectations and makes for a great box "refill" when you've little motivation to tie them yourself. Price is also on point!

I was real excited to get out this afternoon for the end of the steelhead run and the start of trout season. Patterns look awesome and flys are well tied. However, I am not happy w the quality of the hooks. Hooks dull easily from bouncing off the gravel bottom. Hooks bent easily from common hangups on small limbs and rocks. When trying to straiten they broke off.Sorry for the bum review. I just want to give my honest opinion.Really like the look but can’t trust fishing w them due to pour quality hooks.

As everyone has pretty much said, these are all beautiful, well labeled, excellently crafted flies, and I've caught fish in Colorado on at least half of them. I am always bummed when I lose one to a fish or a snag! I do believe the fish I come across prefer the "dirtier" flies over the three of four more brightly colored, "pretty" ones, but I love dropping something smaller off the pretty ones -they make great stimulators, and in my opinion, getting 12, 15, or more quality, go-to flies for around 30 bucks is a total no-brainer!

I have purchased these sets a couple of times when I was on a trip and ran out of flies. This is a good assortment of nymphs at a great price for tungsten headed flies.Another note, is that this assortment comes in sizes and colors that all are usable. Contrary to some other sets that have flies that nobody really uses, these are all really great and useful for US waters.I hope you found this review to be helpful, please click below to indicate that you did. These are worthwhile. The beads do appear to be heavier than commonly encountered - I do some of my own tying and these are pretty fair. Some are not quite what is pictured, but close. The big green caddis at the bottom center arrived balsam green and lacktrailing antennae. I think the small hares ear is size 20, not 18, but no big deal.I'd but the set again.

In this collection I found some off color tied Copper Johns, caddis pupa that were tied by an experienced fly tier and when I recieved the package the flies were packaged individually in bags denoting their pattern and size hook. I love to tie my own flies but I was able to get a few different color prince's and copper johns without having to buy a 25-100 pack of that size and color of tung bead, because that gets expensive. I haven't fished em yet due to rain down here in the southeast US but will definetly try to fish with em soon.
