Yes, it's easy to use and can hold a digital recorder to a mic boom. However I expect the rubber band to fail within a year, and then all I'll have is a fancy hot shoe that will wind up on a cage or a rig permanently. They should have included a half dozen extra bands, or sell packs of bands separately as replacements. This product could have been incredibly convenient, but the lack of spares is a serious mistake.

I got this to strap a rechargeable flashlight to the top of my camera so when I’m out shooting in the forest or undergrowth I can get enough light for the subject without having to tote around a big flash and deflector.It works as advertised though I’ve never used it for a microphone for which it is intended.

I used this to mount a shutter release to my tripod handle. The red rubber part can wrap around a lot of things and provide a stable mount for any light weight gadget, it also has a hole and a screw so it can be mounted almost anywhere else such that weight or torque would not be an issue. This is a very handy addition to my bag of tricks. Will buy again. Makes a crafty gift for any photographer.

wrap it around almost anything and attach your needed accessories. I love these. i use these to make standard mics wireless. I wrap these around the mic stand and attach a wireless transceiver to the cold shoe. Viola! Wireless mics are straight to the camera! I can think of tons of other uses- boom poles, fill lights, etc.

Not a bad price but the rubber bands are fragile, meaning this cold shoe could get lost.
