OEM axle has a keyed slot that the retainer nut is dented into to lock the nut on. This axle has a cotter pin system. If you use the cotter pin then the center plastic wheel hub cover cannot be installed. The axle is good quality but is not an exact replacement.

First set I ordered, started clicking from bad bearings before they hit 50 miles. They quickly sent out another set. 7 months later, not even 400 miles, the boots are dry rotting and already torn, needing replacement already AGAIN.85% of their parts are J U N K. would go after them for a refund but it’s not worth the headache or time. Definitely do not buy parts from Niche2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660 rear axle pair from Niche

So far, everything seems good. Pretty sure this is the second one I purchased. The first one was a few years back and I changed the left rear. That one has held up perfectly. This time I changed the right rear and it also seems to be holding up well, although I haven't heavily tested it yet.

Good fit for my atv, would be nice if there was a cotter pin supplied for axle nut.

This fixed my bad axel, but with it going from normal nut to crown nut and cotter pin, I don't like I need 2 different size sockets for my machine. It would have been nice to have used the same 27mm socket as OEM came with.

I did need to trim the differential side snap ring down just a smidge. It wouldn’t “pop” into place. But other than that i do recommend this shaft

The cv joint broke and the boot ripped maybe got 200 miles on it
