Not a very good product. Wrong length. Not size listed

I ended buying a few of these in various sizes because of the tricky nature of the size chart listed. The recommended size by letter designation didn’t really hold true to the one round file I was buying for. I had a bunch of other bastards and rasps around that needed handles, so they nearly all got setup in my quest to get one file fitted.. cheap enough to buy 2 or more different sizes, easy to pound on once you get the right one though. Nice simple shape, finish, fit, ferrule…

Actually, used it as a replacement for a deteriorated Snap-On screwdriver handle from the 1970's!

Great little handle for the Nicholson file. Check the sizing matrix to ensure you get the correct handle for your file. Works and fits great.

I had an old, reliable pointing trowel that needed a new handle. Rather than replacing the trowel, I wanted to try replacing the handle. This was as close as I could find, and I was able to tap the metal tool part into this new handle. With some generous application of Gorilla Glue, everything seems to be holding up well.

I am fitting various Nicholson files with handles sight unseen. The E handle is BIGGER than the D by a lot and costs more. The biggest file is a 10 inch mill file bastard cut and the E handle fits and grips well. The D handle MAY fit a smaller 10 inch with adjustment and it is significantly cheaper.I am glad I bought the E handle.

Kind of a pain to find the correct file handle to go with which file. Nicholson website has a very nice page on which handle is for such file. The people who give bad reviews choose in incorrect handle for their file.Would be nice if the listings had the into from re website on which handle to use. With the correct file to handle match. The handles are solid and will last a long long time.

It is a file handle but it doesn't fit my file. That isn't the fault of the handle but it is a reason to be sure you are ordering the correct size or buy one at a local store so you can try it out and return it if it is too big.
