THIS PRODUCT HAS NO HARD DRIVE AND SO FAR, I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO ADD ONE. SO YOU CAN WATCH LIVE, BUT YOU CAN'T RECORD!!!!!!THAT WAS NOT CLEAR TO ME WHEN I PURCHASED IT AS A REPLACEMENT DVR FOR MY SYSTEM. WHAT IS THE R FOR IN DVR IF IT WONT RECORD?

Item listed as a Power over Ethernet…when old cameras are plugged into it they don’t power up. Cameras are in perfect working order, and work on old DVR, the only reason why we did this purchase, is because the old hard drive died…customer service to Nightowl was not helpful

Have used the night owl for years. Have the wired device wanted to add wireless to my system. Was told I needed a new DVR box. The one that was suggested was the one for $199. That one Doesn’t record anything! The description is misleading, it says it records, and has a DVR. On the plus… It is easy to set up!

I ordered this DVR and it stated that the HD was included not in the system. So I mailed it back and will order the next one with a Hard Drive built into system.

This DVR WAS SOOO EASY to set up and the picture is beautiful. It has the feature to make the spot lights come on if some one comes near the house which I love! If you don’t have a night owl security monitoring system I suggest this is the best I have had!!!!
