Elementary Orchestra teacher here. These are great little endpin protectors. I have some that only fit some cello endpins, but not others, or are hard plasticy that slip and slide on the floor. These are not them! The material is grippy and rubbery and really grips tile or carpet flooring. The hole in them is fairly small and working them onto the endpin can take a little hand strenghth, but that's good because they won't fall off, and will fit all the cello endpins in my classroom. They have a good bit of rubber on the end so I don't anticipate the point of the endpin breaking through them too quickly. Although the listing suggests it, I do not think these would fit a double bass, or last very long if you manage to get it on there. But I will be ordering more of these for sure.

These fit my cello's end pin properly, and so far they prevent both slipping and floor damage. As long as they don't get hard and slick with age or when my floor gets cold, these should be a terrific, low-cost solution for a nagging problem.
