I was a little nervous about these since the cost is so much lower than getting any set from the parts store, but they seem to be built very well. The wires are near double the thickness of the wires I replaced. I don't know that they will preform any better than the old wires, but time will tell I guess. I wish I could have gotten them on before the cold, I would like to have seen if they can better handle the negative temps of the North.Everything fit perfectly, some of the wires might be a little long, but they don't touch anything that could damage them. I'd be more worried if they are rubbing on something or it put them closer to extreme heat. They fit the heat OEM heat shields, and attached securely to both the plug and the coil.Personally, I think the red looks a little cooler than the old gray ones, but my 03 tahoe certainly isn't a show vehicle so it's more just a look for me when I open the hood. Here's hoping the quality lasts and there are no issues anytime soon or I'll be going back to part store wires. As my coworker pointed out, while these are cheaper, it will be harder to get a warranty on them if needed ever, where if you buy from a part store you can just go in and have a warranty honored. Just depends on your preference.

Installed these on my Chevy Silverado 1500 (2016, 5.3L V8) about a week ago. I had the OEM plugs and wires still at 263,000 miles, and figured it was time to replace them. These were a tad longer than the OEM wires, but barely noticeable, and they fit just fine. I haven't had any change in performance since installing these - which is a good thing.A note on the infamous plug 8 on these trucks - don't be nervous about it. Definitely pull the wheel well, but a spark plug socket - 3/8 universal joint - 3/8 extension of a reasonable length - ratchet will, in that order, fit just fine and be easy to get to.Wish they were blue, but hey, they're red.

Nilight is a company that I have learned to trust and ultimately choose over others in the last few years. I have never been disappointed. These LS plug wires were no exception, they are not cheaply put together. The wire and sheathing itself is thicker than OEM, and of a heat resistant, soft pliable silicone material. Definitely what OEM should have used in the first place being so close to the hot exhaust manifolds. The plug ends on both sides had no issues keeping a hold on the spark plugs and the coin packs. These rival the top brands that can cost much more money, I have not been able to measure wire resistance, etc between these and OEM, to say that they are of better performance, but I also do not think that any plug wire itself is going to give you better performance or more power. Now if you already have a built up motor with cam, heads, exhaust headers, bigger injectors, etc.. then yes I would say these would certainly help give you the edge in that aspect.Years ago it might not have been wise to go with the cheaper option with crucial components such as these, but Nilight has stepped in and shown me otherwise.Move over Dorman, give Nilight some room !!! 😏Try them out!

I build and work on street rods, resto-mods and restorations. I recently had the opportunity to order and review these spark plug high tension leads. They are pretty high quality and comparable to other wires that are substantially more money. The wires are not branded in any way - the red jacketing is identical to other wires in the industry. The connection clips are a double clip with steel tension ring to keep a solid connection. These wires to not have an HEI distributor cap retention knob/button on the distributor end and that may make a difference to you - although I have never seen a plug-wire disconnect itself from the distributor cap without a retainer. Given that they are more than 10mm in diameter, they will most likely not fit well in spark plug wire looms that were made for 8mm wires. In my opinion, these are a good budget alternative to the far more expensive name-brand plug wires on the market.I keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.I give these plug wires my Big-Foot “Stomp” of approval and 4 stars!
