I have a standing desk in my office, and I like to keep papers, books, bills, or invoices open and propped up at eye level while I work so I can easily reference them.This stand is basically like a lecturer's podium, simply smaller and more purpose built.It has handy prongs to hold your book open or to keep your papers from blowing away (in case you have a ceiling fan) that I find VERY helpful.The build quality is very solid and it doesn't so much as shake, even when turning the page.It's easy to slide up and down and once tightened up, it holds very securely.The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the faux woodgrain, but since it is usually covered by a book, it's not a big problem.Definitely recommend it!

Just what I was looking for to do presentations. This product is not too big or small but the right size. It's lightweight; easy to carry around when presenting. At first it was hard to tilt the top part to the front, but I realized you just have to put some pressure into it. I also purchased a tray to add onto the stand to hold my beverages, phone etc. Love it!

This was easy to assemble and is made with quality materials. I'm especially pleased with how heavy and stable the floor plate is because I'd feared it would wobble under the weight of my very large book that takes up permanent residence on top. Said book is also very thick, which does make me wish the lip along the bottom of the holder was a bit taller, but I have to say I haven't had any problems with my tome staying in place. The page clips are extremely helpful and I hope they hold up for a long time. I'm very pleased with this book stand.

I was leery about purchasing something without reviews, and I'm paying for it. The base threads and pole threads don't thread together. I had my fiancce double-check it for me, and he's a pretty handy guy. He said it must've been an error on the manufacturer's part. They either sent me something that doesn't match, or the base or poles were defective.I have TOS, so I can't sit and read a book without risking pinched nerves and other problems associated with TOS, so I have to stand and read. Incredibly disappointing that I have to continue in my search for solutions.

This seems like a high quality product but we can’t swivel the top of the stand. It is completely frozen in both stands that we bought. The stands stand straight up and down and I don’t see a release point to have the top swivel.Additionally, the directions don’t say anything about a button to press or a screw to release to assure that the top can be moved.I want to like it, but based on my sample size of two, I can’t.
