DOT 5 brake fluid is getting harder to find locally. It is used in older HD motorcycles. Mixing or using the wrong brake fluid will damage your braking system. (DOT 5.1 IS NOT THE SAME).

Can only add to the accolades for Silicone Fluid. Ignore the Neanderthals with their myths and theories about the evils of Silicone fluid. Just putting my 750 gt Ducati back on the road after sitting for 12 years. The master cylinder had to be rebuilt as it had drained -- but the dual Brembos, after a bleed, work flawlessly. 12 years. Try that with water-sucking glycol fluid. BTW, the fact that Silicone will not mix with water is a huge plus. The unmixed water will boil (turn to a gas) at braking temps and eject through the m/c cap vent.
