On a 2013 Kia optima this part goes on Underneath the dash and it is the top actuator the bottom actuator is for the heat and the cold and this one is above that one so you have to remove the bottom panel and get your head in there it’s tight but you can do it. The top actuator controls the ventilation settings for the windshield for the vent in the middle or for the bottom

A bit of a tight fit for the actual “door” mechanism but it works perfectly and saved me $500 if I would’ve gotten it replaced at a shop. They wanted to replace the part, unnecessarily recharge my AC, plus labor, and they quoted me $180 for the part itself. I couldn’t believe it! so YouTube and this purchase saved me.

Got this for my 2011 Kia Optima SX Turbo. No heat on the driver side. Looked at the blend door motor at the driver side and noticed that it didn't move when I turned the temperature knobs. Replaced it with this, now it moves and the driver side is HOT like it should be.
