Product Description

NF-A4x10 PWM header

Featuring advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels and Noctua’s AAO frame, the NF-A4x10 is an award-winning, premium-quality quiet fan in size 40x10mm. The PWM version sports Noctua’s custom-designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control via 4-pin fan headers and comes with a Low-Noise Adaptor as well as an OmniJoin Adaptor Set for easy connection to proprietary fan headers. Its superb running smoothness, reference-class SSO2 bearing and Noctua’s trusted premium quality make it an elite choice for the highest demands.

NF-A4x10

AAO frame

Noctua's AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames feature integrated anti-vibration pads as well as Noctua's proprietary Stepped Inlet Design and Inner Surface Microstructures, both of which further refine the fan's performance/noise efficiency.

NF-A4x10 FAC

Flow Acceleration Channels

The NF-A4x10 impeller features suction side Flow Acceleration Channels. By speeding up the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions, this measure reduces suction side flow separation and thus leads to better efficiency and lower vortex noise.

SSO2

SSO2 Bearing

The NF-A4x10 features the further optimised second generation of Noctua's renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.

NF-A4x10 AVP

Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads

Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads made from extra-soft silicone minimise the transmission of minute vibrations while maintaining full compatibility with all standard mounting systems and fan clips used on heatsinks.

NF-A4x10 ISM

Inner Surface Microstructures

With the tips of the fan blades ploughing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, which results in reduced blade passing noise and improved airflow and pressure efficiency.

Reduced motor hub size

Thanks to its streamlined, compact motor design, the NF-A4x10's motor hub is smaller than with conventional 4cm fans. This allows for more blade surface area and thus contributes to the NF-A4x10's superior airflow and pressure performance.

J'ai acheté ce ventilateur en 10mm et en 20mm, le 10mm fait un bruit aigu mais reste presque plus supportable que le 20mm.Aucune autre alternative n'est possible

I never imagined there was any fan that could cool my Xeon D1521 while making almost no noise. Sure, there are tonnes of fans out there that are silent but are also crappy at cooling performance. My friend recommended me Noctua, and after installing it, I can tell that I never felt happier. It is practically noiseless (to me at least)!

Used this on my LSI SAS Card since I installed it in an ATX Tower case which doesn't have high airflow like server cases would. It keeps my LSI SAS Controller nice and cool without creating any noticeable noise.

I use these in all of my servers and desktops to cool PCI expansion cards. Works great, keeps them cool.

I got this fan for a dying DVR I was hoping to repair. The running amps were the closest to what I was replacing and the old fan was quacking like a duck so it was needed. This fan was a little pricey but I was happy I spent the money. It includes lots of bundled adapters and mounting fasteners. I used the silicone pull through mounts and it runs perfectly silent with great airflow. Way better than the OEM. Highly recommended.

Bought 3 of these to put in a bracket from etsy, as a case mod for the nzxt h1. They are all connected via 3 way splitter and the fans being pwm, i was able to set them to the same fan curve as gpu fans. 1 of the few 3080's that fit in the gen 1 nzxt h1 is the evga 3080 xc3 without any modifications. Put these fans as exhaust to pull the warm air out that the gpu produced while gaming. Temps under load dropped from 75c to 70c. Even when on 80% power, they are still quieter than the gpu fans at 50%. Wish they had a black fan option instead of just brown, but once the back perforated cover is on, you can barely see them. Nice upgrade without breaking the bank, and not having to change to a different pc case.

My PC's CPU temperature was low (35 – 52 degrees). However, the Z690 chipset was hovering around 80 – 90 degrees. Way too hot for my comfort. Made a simple mod by zip tying a 4cm Noctua fan to blow directly at the chipset heatsink. The temperature drops to between 61 and 69 degrees. ASUS made a mistake of removing the heatsink fan for aesthetic reason.

Yep. Noctua wins again! For those not familiar with fans and their intricacies, smaller fans often tend to be louder than larger fans. Tiny tiny fans like those 40mm and under can be painfully annoying as the RPMs reach breakneck speed.Noctua managed to keep the hub size so tiny, that there is actually room for air to move through the fins, instead of squeezing through the gap between the hub and the shell. This prevents that painful “whizzing” noise heard on most small fans. The engineering behind doing that is tricker than it seems, but Noctua doesn’t disappoint. It is DEAD quiet and moves decent air for the little fella. Great addition for hobby projects and PC mods. And as always, Noctua includes every adapter and amenity under the sun. The convenience included is alone worth the price.Spend the bit extra couple dollars, your ears and components will thank you.

I needed a small fan for a tight space near my power delivery, I wanted to suck some of the heat out of a hard to cool area. I made a 3d printed cone so I could direct the fan where it was needed and keep the wash from my CPU cooler from overpowering it. I does a decent job, I can feel it moving some pretty hot air.Noctua didn't skimp on this pricey little fan. It come with mounting hardware adapter cables and an extension cable. Well worth the 15 bucks.Only complaint, ugly colors.

So I was looking for an optional 40mm fan to cool the M.2 Solid State Drive on my Asus motherboard. I looked around and this model stood out. I mean, reaally stood out. The noise level, the mounting hardware, the info. It was only a few bucks more but it came with a whole kit full of adapters and shock-mounted isolaters and screws and things I'd never seen come with with 120-300mm fans. Bottom line, it moves some air, it's quiet, and it's built really well. I'll look for them next time I buy any fans (hopefully they have other color options).
