Needed something to hold my sharpening stones in place while I sharpened my chisels and plane irons. Holds pretty well even if a little of the sharpening oil manages to get on it.

Cannot keep mat from sliding around. It’s a great mat to help protect wood project while sanding but again really does not seem to stop things from slipping

Didn't work for small item-4", the piece tilted and the bit destroyed it. For larger work it did fine

Great at preventing items from moving around while you are working on them. Whether I'm woodworking in the garage or crafting in the house this mat is a helpful tool.

I purchased this mat for a slightly different usage. I'm using it for holding leather hard pots to the pottery wheel for trimming. It works very well when trimming wider pots such as bowels or plates, anything with a wide top. I cut a circular shape by placing a potter's bat on the mat and cutting with a utility knife.Here's a picture to give you an idea.

I had small pieces to route & clamping them down would not work, the router mat was great, pieces stayed in place firmly & my routeing turned out great. very pleased.
