Noodler's ink are highly appreciated for their smooth and consistent flow. Similarly, the new Noodler's Cactus Fruit Ink is a prime choice for pen enthusiast who prefer ink with consistency. Besides that, the ink is also highly demanded by people with vintage fountain pens which require lubricating element to enhance the performance. Comes in a beautiful 3oz plastic bottle.

I love the fact that this ink is in the class of lubricating inks! I use the fountain pen by Jinhao X750 with a Zebra G nib that I do alter for the amazing line variation. All the inks in the same category by Noodler's are also lubricating, which in turn gives me plenty of ink flow for the wider lines and tiny upstrokes!!! It's great fit your pens inside parts!!!! Will definitely by again!!!

Husband and son LOVE the color. Both are using it for proofing and corrections. They love the intense color and said it has a smooth feel.

I've been reconditioning three older fountain pens, two Schaeffers and an Osmiroid with a Rolatip left-hand nib. I was using a sample of Noodler Saguaro Wine in the Osmiroid and it was working OK, but I'd have to dip the nib in water to get ink flowing after a few hours sitting capped. I switched ink to the American Eel Cactus Fruit and filled it through the nib. What a difference! It's really smooth flowing ink. I'm probably going to order more American Eel colors to get these other old pens flowing well. Highly recommended if you are fixing up older pens that don't start writing right away.

The color is great! This compares to Diamine Deep Magenta. I thought with the "eel" formula, this would be a wetter ink, but the flow so far has been very dry (almost too dry).

This ink flows throw, even on finer nib pens. In fact I prefer using it on a finer nib pen. It is a dark pink/magenta color, probably one of my favorite pink inks. It is easy to read when using it for writing, but would also be nice to use for sketching. I have found that on cheaper quality paper or moleskines it will absolutely bleed through the paper. On higher quality paper, like tomoe river, it does take a little bit longer to dry, so be careful of smearing. Noodler's inks are always filled right to the brim. Be sure to have a paper towel nearby and open in an area you won't mind if you spill a little (like over a sink). Overall I feel like this is a great ink and you get a lot for what you pay.

I have this in 3 pens, ranging from a $15 pen to a $150 pen. They all write exceptionally well. Even ink flow, quick drying, and a beautiful color. It’s probably my favorite ink right now and I am going to try more Types of Noodlers. Also, a really good value and filled to the tippy top.

I love this ink! I have been trying to find a nice deep pink for a while to use on baby shower thank you notes. I would say that cactus fruit eel is more of a magenta. Lots of deep pink with a hint of purple. Hopefully the pictures capture it well enough. The color varies slightly depending on what you are writing on. It's so pretty and vibrant. The ink flows nicely. It writes a little more wet than other inks I have used, but overall I have not noticed bleedthrough. The worst bleedthrough I found was on super cheap paper when I drew over the same spot multiple times. The bottle was filled right to the brim so be careful when you open it! (I always have a paper towel handy.) I was impressed by the amount and quality for the price. This is my first noodlers purchase and I have a feeling it won't be my last.

Cactus Fruit has me considering other Eel and lubricated inks because it is so very well behaved. Pens which have been laying around for awhile still write smoothly without the usual fits and starts. The color is strong but not garish and, though there is some kind of magical lube, it doesn't lay down wet enough to be a smeary mess. The color is magenta - a cross between fuschia and purple - that doesn't strain the eye. You can quite easily read a full written page of this color without wincing or regret because it is more dark than bright.
