The item appeared to be an identical replacement but the first one I got was defective. The company was good about replacing the item but they must have wanted the old one back before sending a new one? Somehow the replacement never was sent and nobody checked to see if was ok I got my refund and the item dropped off my orders. So I bought a different one that was rated a bit lower since the device was not working for a week.

I was started noticing my furnace cycling twice every time it called for heat. For trouble shooting purposes i stuck a meat probe in the fire box right next to this limit switch. I jumper'd the limit switch with a piece of wire and then hooked a DMM to the switch. This way i could see what temp the switch was opening at. i found it was opening to soon and causing the the furnace to go into cool down but the thermostat had not reached temp so when the limit switch cooled enough to reset the unit would then cycle again which was usually enough to satisfy the heat cycle. This over temp limit switch solved my issue. I believe my furnace is a Thermal Zone installed in 1995. I hope this can help someone fix theirs. I should have wrote this review when it all happened and i could have provided more detail.
