The pans bend out at the top...not straight up like most pans. Unfortunately that makes it difficult to frost a layer cake because there's a large gap between the 2 layers.

I got this for cake baking but ended up using it for pies because I like large pies.

OK, so I'm really unsure of its "heat distribution", which would (since I'm a retired engineer) require more testing equipment than I have on hand (and I have a LOT). But I did warm up some frozen yeast risen rolls after quick-rising them in my semi-new toaster oven that has a "ferment" setting (max temp of 110degF). They would have been great, but I cooked something else with it (the quack scientist in me, I guess) and let it bake a bit too long. But it was OK -- seriously. I was amazed that this cleaned so easily since I did manage to burn the sides more than I would have liked, with just a little bit of soaking and some elbow grease using a plastic scrubber. Next on the agenda: brownies!

I bake regularly. I bake cake almost every day. I was on Amazon looking for plain stainless steel cake pans and I found these. I searched a lot and finally decided to give these ones a try. They are amazing. Who knew that these simple looking stainless steel cake pans would be so amazing. My cakes turn out soft and delicious.

Nice quality-used one once so far to make bread in Dutch Oven. Bread was a fail but that is my fault. Bread didn’t brown on bottom because i was doubly careful not to scorch and used a wire rack trivet. I don’t think I need to use a trivet in the Dutch oven if using a stainless steel baking pan. Will try again. Buying stainless steel because aluminum is not good for your body, should anything leach in from the cooking process.Will update my review after some more use
