So I started making our own yogurt, etc. With the Instant Pot (of course, What else...) And wanted to Drain some of it to make Greek yogurt. I read researched, decided to buy some cheesecloth, found this brand.I've been using same piece for several months now. It's held up beautifully. I line a large colander with it to Drain, over a big bowl, in the fridge. The yogurt kind of 'peels' away from the cheesecloth. I rinse the cloth with hot water, vinegar and baking soda under the spray stream in the kitchen sink, and then boil it in clean water in the microwave for 8 minutes. I let it cool off , then hang to dry. It's holding up nicely.

used it twice so far, it washes well in the washing machine...made some awesome greek yogurt. Four stars instead of 5 because I wish it were wider. Perhaps twice it's width... not sure if they all come like that, it's my first cheesecloth purchase.***update ---> opened it up at bit more, it was folded onto itself...so it's definitely wide enough...works great, changing review to 5 stars. Bought a second one too :-)

I needed this to strain the whey off my homemade yogurt. It works great! You get quite a bit in the package. I laid it across my strainer, folded it a few times and then cut off what I needed. I rinsed it out after I was finished and washed it with some mild dish soap. Hang it up to dry and you can reuse it. I was able to get over 10 uses from my first piece before I needed to cut another square off. I will definitely be reordering this when I need more.

I bought two different cheesecloths to see which I preferred. Both are identical, and work well. I use it for draining the whey from yogurt for my fermenting: kvass, sauerkraut, pickles, and ginger drink. Easy ferments and ready in a few days. The cheesecloth washes out easily in the kitchen sink using a few drops of dish soap. I rinse well, and hang over the oven door handle to dry. It's ready to go again.

I saw some reviews saying that it was too long and skinny for their intended purpose. When it arrived, it WAS long and skinny, but that's just because it was folded that way. If you unfold the VERY thin layers all the way, you will have a very hole-y cheesecloth that you can refold into any shape you want. I use these for making giant batches of coffee (soak the coffee grounds, then use the cheesecloth to filter them out.) Works great.

There is not a whole lot to a cheese cloth but, this one does it all right. The fabric is very secure and does not seem flimsy, the holes between the threads do not change shape or size much. The holes are pretty small compared to other cheese cloths bought before. There is a good amount of fabric in this package for a really good price. Just for reference, I am using mine right now for growing sprouts in a jar and for making lemoncello. I have had now issue with it.In conclusion, if you are not looking for something very particular in a cheese cloth then this is about as good as they good for general use. I will most certainly buy this one again, when I run out of my current stock.

This is cheese cloth and fine cheese cloth at that. I use it to strain herbs out of tinctures and such and it works great, I do double over the section I cut off as to catch more material but I think that's the case with all cheese cloths. Not to expensive, comes quick, 27 sq ft!!!, and does the job. What more can you ask for?Update: I still like this product and it has been working great but wanted to let everyone know something about the size of this cloth. The width of this cloth is probably only about 7 inches I would say but it is pretty long so sometimes can be hard to keep all of your material you are straining inside the cloth. So as I said before I double it over and sometimes fold it into a v shape increase the width. Also I have used one 3 foot section on 4 separate occasions and simply washed it well and left to dry and it is still holding up. It's so cheap you don't have to but I am a thrifty person like that haha

It does the job for now, but I'm not sure how long it's going to last.It gets deformed after washing (even just rinsing by hand) and the holes between the threads are pretty large, so you have to fold it into several layers. After I got this cheesecloth, I saw one at Whole Foods for about the same price that looked much, much better. Wish I had gotten that one instead.
