I honestly have never worked with a resin like this. I was doing test after test to try and find settings that they don't give you and when I thought I had it, support would fail and half the print would hang off the bed EVEN WITH A BRIM! Has an odor to it but definitely not as bad as some but in the middle. I have been playing with this stuff for almost 3 months and am about out of it and NO good prints yet. I just don't get it. I even tested with another brand resin and it printed fine so there is nothing wrong with my ld-006 printer. One other thing, either my vat markings are WAY off or it did not come with 1000g or 1kg of resin either. It was a good 3mm or more below the 1000g line in my vat where most other 1kg resins get it to the line. I would stay far away from this. I see it is currently unavailable so hopefully they are reworking the formula!

The grey resin is what i used and mainly the only color i use as anything I am printing is being painted. The product worked amazingly well and I've had no issues and didn't even have to make adjustments to my settings. The only complaint I do have is the smell, I know all resin's have a horrible smell but this one one so much stronger than most resins i've ever used. I tested it with another well known brand a couple lesser know brands and this one smell wise blew them all out. Asides from that great price point within normal prices like most brands and produces great results just much stronger smell than any other brand resin.

Let me start off with the good. This resin is super easy to print with and the results are amazing! The details are all there and even in my 3K printer, I was super surprised with the quality it was putting out paired with this resin.Now to the bad. I think all resin smells bad, so when I got resins that say low odor I thought it was advertising hype as they still smell bad. Then I got this resin. It will smell up the whole house if you print indoors without really excellent ventilation. I use my resin printer in my laundry room that has good ventilation and is connected with the garage with even better ventilation. Even with the garage door open, this resin smelled up the laundry room, the next room over, and the whole two car garage. I even opened the garage door and this stuff just lingers!Overall, this some awesome resin! It's super easy to print with and the end results are more than worth it. I would highly recommend having an excellent ventilation system to protect your house and family as well as a good respirator to protect yourself.

This resin is really good. The grey color is great for prototyping. It has great build plate adhesion and cures very well with the recommended numbers on the bottle. The bottle itself is black to block UV light from curing the resin in the bottle and is made from thick plastic that should keep you safe from spills even if it is dropped. They also include filtering funnels to help return any unused resin back to the bottle. This is a nice bonus that keeps you from spilling or wasting any resin. The price is about what other quality brands are priced as well.Overall NOVA3D resin is a great choice for a good price. It works well and should have a great shelf life as well. I highly recommend this resin.

I'm not concerned with the lack of recommended settings. Every resin needs to be dialed in to the printer, environment, and temperature it's being printed in and no chart will cover that. However, it's still nice to have something to compare to if a resin's behavior is unique but I'm treating and testing this as standard resin.Strength. Comparable to standard resins if a little on the brittle side. I didn't have issues but no standard resin minifigure is going to survive a drop and this is no exception.Odor. I always print with a ventilation hood and full mask so my only test for this is does my family realize I've been printing in the basement? Some pungent ABS-likes still stink up the house despite my situation and this resin is borderline crossing into ABS like territory.If the price was right I'd look at his resin more favorably but I've got a lot more cheaper choices for standard resin that I can print with without anyone smelling what I'm printing. If you want tough and can deal with smell just go full ABS-like at the same price or cheaper. I couldn't test the 8k claims as I print both 4k to 8k models on a 4k Elegoo Mars 2. Higher resolution resin does nothing if the model and printer aren't also of the same spec.

I tested this with my Creality Halot Lite printer (which is 4K). This resin worked fine, compared to other resins I have used before. The detail level of the prints is what I expected. The prints feel solid and strong. There are some delicate details on the prints and they have survived some minor bumps, so that's a good indication that the prints are tough. I set my exposure to 1.8seconds per layer, with all other settings normal, and that number worked right away. This is basically an ABS-like resin, so the finish is matte and the gray color is the standard gray for other similar resins I've used.The smell is VERY strong though. I have a poor sense of smell, but even I got knocked back by it a little. I normally leave resin in the printer for days at a time, but it was stinking up the garage and the second story of our house (wafting from the garage into the attic to the second story.) After printing a couple of things with it, I returned the remainder to the container and cleaned the printer, and aired out the garage for a few hours and still seem to get whiffs of that smell. I've had other resins that also claimed to be low odor and did the exact same thing, so I don't think this is the worst of what's out there, but I definitely think buyers should be aware that this has a strong smell and you need to be ok with that.
