This seems like it would do what I need it to do, except the capacitor at C10 literally blew in less than a minute. I replaced it with a 500uf capacitor which seems to be working, but the potentiometers on the board are poorly explained and difficult to adjust. Anyone know of better made version of this module?

I have quite a few signal generators including a fully developed 8038 function generator so I know how to set these up and what they should do. I was hoping to use this in a portable signal generator but this NOYITO ICL8038 Signal Generator Module was defective out of the box. I checked the 8038 IC and it clearly showed it was defective.

It does work with the included software, but sometimes have to replug few times in a different order (power, USB) to get recognized. Once it is working, it is stable, but software is horrible.

I may have voided the warranty by fixing the problem... I suspect C10 is 0.1uF with how fast the output dies at lower frequencies.. I stacked on a 10uF and now there is much more amplitude that the amplitude pot actually works now.

I bought this to generate a 250Hz sine wave. The waveforms in all three modes - sine, square, sawtooth - look good on a scope. It's easy to set up and adjust. I would give it five stars easily, except that it arrived without any instructions at all and I had to e-mail the seller to get them. The instructions are perfectly understandable, but could use a rewrite by a native English speaker.
