Well it seals but you will need a caulk gun that auto releases and gloves. It's very hard to get the product out and its messy. But it is flexible when dry and does the job. Hard to find white in my local stores.

This was my first time doing outside caulking. Prior to this I have done inside caulking with silicone caulks which are much easier to apply. This is a high quality product for the exterior of your home. However it is difficult to apply and tends to be messy for a beginner. Found that using a mix of butter and baking soda will get it off my hands after the project is completed.

I used another solvent-based exterior caulking, but it dried so quickly that I didn't have time to tool it. This product is durable and doesn't skin over immediately so that if you make a caulking mistake, you can still recover from it. It is paintable but not washable with water. I use rubber gloves and a dry rag when installing it as it is gooey and sticks to everything! It's super strong and I use it on LP and Hardi siding, exterior doors and windows. Latex caulks last about a month outdoors (even though they are easy to tool). I quit using it years ago. I found this to be the best solvent based paintable caulk on the market these days. Resealed a frame for shower doors. Although it takes a few days to completely cure, it is immediately waterproof water exposure doesn't degrade it at all.I have also used it to seal the leaking seams in stock tanks and have never had a failure.Far superior to all other products I have used.
