Your cart is empty.NP246 OEM Quality Transfer Case. Remanufactured Bulldog Tough from The Gear Shop! This is the NP8 unit that fits GM trucks 1998-2002 with a 4L60E transmission. This unit has the flat sided shift selector and 27 spline input shaft. All units come with a new upgraded, heavy duty aluminum rear case to resolve the "pump rub" issue common to these units. This unit has been remanufactured by The Gear Shop in the USA to exceed OEM standards. This product is covered against manufacturer defects for 18 months. This transfer case is being sold on an exchange basis. Product protection coverage does NOT begin until we have received your old transfer case as the core exchange. The Gear Shop pays for the core return with a supplied label to use. We are available to answer any questions about the core return process that you may have.

Seller contacted me to make the right part was sent and it arrived earlier than expected. Correct part arrived and it works great so far after about 500 miles. Easy process for core for return shipping at UPS store with provided label.

Easy to install clean threads on studs first before installing, works great . Installed in to 1999 Chevy Suburban with 307000 miles hope to get to 600000

This is the best deal for this transfer case. The customer care is excellent, they make sure you are getting the right part. They also shipped the transfer case fast and my truck was back on the road in less than a week with the shipping time. The unit has been flawless since installed, the only down side is it doesn't include any new sensors or the encoder motor, but at such an amazing price it wouldn't.

Having looked all over locally with no luck I decided to check amazon and there it was. I contacted the shop to verify the the part and ordered. Delivered by UPS. While insulation not a pleasant experience to replace it was straightforward enough to do. I’m not a mechanic by any means. Put the core in the box and shipped it back today. A very pleasant group to work with. The return shipping was very easy. I’ve put on about 200 miles since installing and it runs great for a truck with 250,000 miles on it. Do take the time to replace the u joints your there and it’s out the parts ran and extra $80-90 but it’s worth it for another 250,000 miles. I highly recommend the group appears to be a very good quality part.
