I surf fish and wear these over waders. Received the jacket and thought it was real thin and flimsy. However when wearing it was light weight, comfortable and cinched up pretty well in the surf. Nothing will keep you 100%, but i was most concerned with keeping water out of my waders. I crossed a channel up to my arm pits and no water came in. Of course I had a wading belt on also. I would have given 5 stars, but it's a little over priced IMO but fits and is functional. I have a 46" chest and the XL is perfect with under armor and a thin 3/4 zip light fleece. Also used in my kayak under a PFD, was comfortable and didn't even notice it was on. Blocks wind very well and breaths well. Wrists seal up ok, but not like a gasket.

This jacket fits me great. I typically have trouble getting jackets to fit me due to my athletic shape and size but this one was true to size and had plenty of movement in the shoulders.

It is difficult to get high viz paddling jackets; more and more they are made in dark red, dark blue, or even black. Not helpful if you are overboard and being searched for. Therefore, thank you for making one with at least high viz sleeves. It fits well (I am 5'8" and the M is as predicted), is waterproof (only tested in drizzle so far, not paddling, but it not very breathe-able. After a 30' run this morning, it was quite damp (although not actually wet) inside. So while there are many good features, if you are looking to stay dry during strong paddling/exercise, this may not be the one.

I bought it as a gift. The fit is as expected and he says that it is comfortable. The red is a true red.
