Cleaner then other pipe dope. Works well, three wraps of thick thread tape and a little bit of this.

Nice that it does not stain and cleans up easily but it does not seal well. Had several gas leaks and used this product and still had leaks with new gas piping. Took apart and used TPlus2 and no issues. Buy Rectorseal T plus 2 best stuff for sealing gas, Steam and oil.

This is probably the worst thread sealant I have ever used especially for water. Do not waste your money. RT makes some good products but this is not one of them.

Honestly disappointed with this product, love the low mess factor compared to most other brush on thread sealers but it consistently fails to actually seal npt threads. First time or two I thought it was user error but the same npt joints seal just fine with permatex or pipe dope
