I only gave this style of Oboz two stars, because they didn't fit. I have two other pairs, but a little bit different style. Both of them are 8.5. I ordered these and I didn't doubt they would fit. I didn't try them on right away, but I was so sure of the fit. I was really surprised when I did finally try them. They were too tight, (And I have REALLY narrow feet) and too short. The arch support hit in totally the wrong place, so they felt awful. I was so disappointed. I also buy New Balance shoes, and when I have switched styles, the size always stays the same. I was not expecting this from Oboz. I sent them back and got a refund. The return was easy to do and I appreciated that! I did not reorder, I will go and buy them from a local store so I can try them on.

I bought these after having my keens for 10 plus years. I wasn’t sure about the change in brands but I just did a moderate to difficult 4 mile hike in the red river gorge Kentucky and they were so comfortable better than my old shoes and no rubbing. I really love them. And they look nice too. Definitely recommend. I love the grip on the bottom I was able to go down rocks very easily. The only downside I would say is they are a little bit warm because their waterproof and my old shoes were not waterproof so they were a lot cooler. But I wore some darn tough socks with them, and my feet were not too hot, but I think if I wore cotton socks, they might be too warm.

I have been a big fan of Oboz since I got my first pair 10 years ago. I am on my feet all day and a pair of these still last anywhere from one to five years. I like this particular one so much I bought another one of the same for when it eventually needs replacing. Very comfortable, supportive, and has a very stabilizing heel design.

These hiking shoes will last for ever. They are so well made. I am so sick of very expensive hikers that fall apart after one year. This has been happening over and over again for years and I am done with it so I went with OBOZ on the advice of my daughter. Thank you for the amazing deal. I lucked out.

I really liked the style/design and quality but the fit was not good. I even bought the wide (not that my feet are very wide but I tried). Two problems - the tongue on one shoe consistently dug into the top of my foot and I had to really work at it to get it to lay right. The second and the reason for my rating....horrible rubbing on my heel making it red and sore for days! It has been decades since I've had a shoe out the box do anything like that to my feet but there it was! I went on two 5 mile walks and a couple short ones to get these broken in. I tried different socks etc. It's just a bad fit for me. I'm going back to Merrells.

I have had a pair of Oboz Sawtooth II shoes for several years (a previous model to these Sawtooth X shoes) and was hoping to get another pair, since my original ones are starting to show their age. Unfortunately, the Sawtooth IIs are no longer made, and next to impossible to get, especially in Canada. I took a chance on ordering the 'new version', these Sawtooth X shoes. I was very much disappointed that the Sawtooth X don't fit anything like my old IIs.... first, they fit much smaller than the older ones (I wear an 8 Wide, and so ordered the same size - and could barely tie them up). Also, the sides of the shoe don't come up nearly as high as the II (which are also called 'Low' as opposed to a 'Mid' style that are more of an ankle boot). My IIs are literally the best shoes I've ever worn. They are incredibly comfortable and long lasting. Oboz's new version is not anything like the previous ones... in my opinion, a fail on the redesign. I gave 3 stars, because they are still a high quality shoe and brand, and I'm sure they will make someone out there happy. But if you are looking for a replacement for older versions of this shoe, this one ain't it. Disappointed. I returned them the next day.

Theses shoes are the most comfortable and there have excellent support. They are water proof as well as great for day hikes.

These are my third pair of oboz sawtooth. Sawtooth X is best so far for me. Pevious versions were slightly too wide for me even though I don't have a narrow foot, so I had to lace up as tight as I could.Sawtooth X seems to run slightly more narrow and fits me better. I've taken them on two 6 mile hikes over rugged terrain with lots of ups and downs and my feet felt fine! They are a little bit lower than previous versions and I think they are nice looking. They have fantastic support and are great for my high arches.

They were tight and gave me blisters so I used a shoe stretchers and that solved the problem. I would order a size up
