Background... I've been riding an 09 flhx since I bought it at auction in 2015 (it was wrecked)... Never has it started so easily, never have volts immediately gone to 14... Hope it lasts a couple seasons

This regulator was bought on the fact it had good reviews. I am here to tell you that this regulator is a piece of plastic garbage. It worked fine until just today. I was at a stop sign and my battery light came on and smoke was everywhere. I am just glad I was not on the highway! And if this company reads this review, give the people with problems and good phone number. "The call cannot be completed" is a real good way to lose customers!

The part was for my 2012 street glide CVO. The part fit like it was supposed to. Ease of orderingI will use them again when I need something else. 😎

Ordered this because at cruising speed my voltage started to spike on my voltage gauge and half the instrument panel stopped working and would come back on at idle when the voltage dropped back down to normal levels. This fit perfectly, was easy to install myself (after unbolting the oil cooler), and has worked well so far. I will update this post if it goes bad within a year like some of the other review have stated.UPDATE: It stopped working after just 3 days. I tested my stator and the continuity and voltage at idle and 2K rpm checked out perfectly. I hope I just got a bad module. I had other work I was doing on the motorcycle so I was not able to install this until the last week of the return period and now it is to late to return.

Worked great for about 7-8 months. When it failed it over charging at 17 volts. Don’t buy this one, go with another option.
