It's a lifelike size and the colors are helpful is teaching the various sections of the skull. But the spring that works the mandible is very awkward and poorly designed. If I remove the skull portion, it's easier to use.

The product isn't bad for the price. It came on time with Amazon Prime, and I received it in a day like promised. However, upon analyzing the frontal region of the cranial I noticed it was obviously patchy in some areas. It's kinda annoying but I will still be able to use it. I'm not going to return it and fight for a new one because I simply don't have the time or energy. It is not that serious but maybe some people care more than me. I'm upset with the manufacturer on their end, but the product, in general, it will still help me study for my Anatomy & Physiology class.

The only strange dislike about this product was the strong smell of plastic that it had when it came out of the package. After a few days it goes away.

I am very happy with this product. I bought it hoping it would be useful in studying for an anatomy course, and I was very happy with the product. The colours were helpful and all the major foramina/fossas were present. I will say that some of the foramina weren’t formed correctly on one side (ie looked much different on the other side), but I didn’t find this to be a huge issue, especially for the price. However, like other comments, the top of the skull doesn’t fit perfectly against the bottom, but this wasn’t a problem for me as I only really purchased it to study the fossas/foramen anyways. Great product for price!

I was overwhelmed when my anatomy teacher went over all the bones in the osseous system at a very fast pace. When I went to an open lab at my school under another instructor, it was then that I learned to study the landmarks in a way that became really interactive an enjoyable. I could not take a model home, of course, and I was so relieved when I discovered this on Amazon. It is very interactive, where you can see the deep structures and landmarks of the sphenoid and ethmoid bones such as the the sella turcica and olfactory foramina. I also love how the mandible is detachable and you can appreciate the fossa that holds it in place along with the coronoid process and the mandibular condyle, as well as the palatine bone. Even the jaw expands reflecting the human anatomy. I also really appreciate how the facial bones are clearly delineated as well as the foramina. This model also makes it impossible to confuse the nasal bones and landmarks. I found that working with the scull, and touching the different landmarks really helped me commit it to memory and prepared me for my practical. Additionally, the top part of the skull is removable with a metal attachment so it doesn't break. It is very well constructed, and I have it as a permanent feature in my home's study area because I love it so much.

I am an xray student. This is perfect. Paint fumes were strong upon opening package.

This did not look like what I saw on the website. The paint is inconsistent, and the model did not fit together well. Thought I would save a some $$ and I guess I got what I paid for. Not a good skull.
