Had a quote for $3k to replace oil pan, but this resolved it! Re-tapped the drain plug and it worked great! Saved money and no leaks!

Tap was unusable as delivered, ground off center. Had to cut tip off and regrind lead in to make functional. Plugs were fine. Would not buy from this vendor in the future.

Works perfectly for my BMW F10 2016. I use the same washer that comes in the kit. So far, no leaks.Update:After one week start dripping slowly i replace washer in copper same thing.

Common issue with some BMW models, like the BMW X5 F15, is that they have an aluminum oil pan. This can lead to premature wear and tear on the threads for the oil drain bolt. Over time, the threads become warped, cross-threaded, or just wear out to the point that the oil drain bolt will not properly seal anymore. This can cause oil leakage from the oil pan, which if unaddressed, can lead to engine failure if the engine is not receiving the proper amount of lubrication as required.I used this kit to size up from the OEM M12x15 oil drain bolt size to this M13x1.5 size. The provided tap worked PERFECTLY. I did NOT have to drill out the oil pan hole to size up. I used the tap directly at the hole and it shaved it easily. Make sure you have the tap LEVEL with the oil pan hole. Do not go in at an angle or else the bolt WILL NOT SEAL. This is a very simple procedure that takes all of 5 minutes to do but you just need to be careful with it.The kit provides aluminum washers with 6 bolts but I opted for same size copper washers in bulk from another seller on Amazon called uxcell. Just search for uxcell copper washers M13. Then you'll be set for life... or until you have to go to M14. LOL

Great prices and quality material. Works great and cuts smoothly. Replacement bolts and crush washers work great as well. If you’re a rookie I suggest rethreading by hand and not with power tools. But great tool and definitely would buy from this manufacturer again.

I bought a used Honda 4 trax 4 wheeler that came with a leaking stripped oil plug. I purchased this 13mm kit with tap to effect a repair and replacement of the original 12 mm drain plug. Provided you are careful not to cross thread the tap the repair is simple, fast and completely effective. I placed axle grease onto the tap to collect and prevent introducing metal shavings into the oil pan. It took more time to assemble the required tools for the job than it did to complete the repair. Excellent kit and 5 additional 13 mm drain bolts and washers are included at the price.

You have to use a socket and ratchet to hold and turn the 15M tap as the space is rather small (in my vehicle). The operation went well, however you have to run at least a quart of oil to flush the cuttings. Only downside to the 'kit' is that the 'new' Oil Pan Screw could be a little longer, maybe 2-0 instead of 1.5. I had to use a different Crush washer - just to feel better.Otherwise great Repair Kit. Saved me having to R&R a new Pan.
