The part seems to be used and is really dirty. It is also missing the end clamps for the din rail attachment.

Bought it for work. It's exactly what it says it is and does everything you'd expect it to do.

The item was missing the screws needed to "build" the DIN rail assembly. The circuit board was poorly washed; debris and film found on underside of board.

I needed to feed the same rs-232 signal to two channels of a serial to tcp adapter. The easiest way is to just tap the receive pair, and sent the signal to the transmit and ground of another cable and DB-9 connector plugged into the other channelI contemplated the easiest way to do this, including cutting the cable and soldering up something (too time consuming and error prone), using a simple DB-9 "Y" cable (Not a good solution, because the transmit side of the two receiving circuits would be tied together, causing an ambiguity for the sending device), and a few other even more harebrained potential solutions. While browsing Amazon for a better way, I came across this DB-9 breakout board, which made the job trivial. It has male and female DB-9 connectors on-board, so all I had to do is plug the existing cable from the sending device into the breakout board, then use a DB-9 extension cable from the board to the TCP adapter.I then ran a two conductor cable from the receive and ground terminals of the terminal block on the breakout board to a DB-9 connector, plugged it in and I was in business. The breakout board mounts on a DIN rail, so it was easy to secure, and it worked perfectly. I had everything assembled and working in less than 15 minutes, and it wasn't nearly as haphazard as some other solutions I could have come up with. The next time I need a device like this I'll definitely choose this one.

This looks like a solid product, as I have looked it over closely. I have not used it electrically as of yet. I expected it to be fully assembled, but for the price it is a good value!!

I use it to check my SteppIR Amateur Radio antenna connections. Much better than trying to test on SDA 100 controller connector.
