We absolutely love this thing and will get another! 10/10 we had a weasel problem and needed our chickens safe at night to go up in the coop especially when we are g home and have the door close behind them. This just works so perfectly 😁 super easy to install. Easy to use . Super great value for the money. And it's solar so we don't have to run long cords to it.

I wasn't sure about this product, but it was easy to install. And the timer works great! I was worried about it working in the cold winter and if the solar panel would get enough light. But we had a cold snap of -31 to -34 and it never failed.Very happy with this. And now they are even safer in the coop at night and with the door closed it holds in the heat a little better.

I have bought a few of these over the years. They were always kind of junky. One had literally a string that pulled the door up and down. One totally chopped the heads off 3 chicks at once. Another was way complicated and looked like it was put together from some kids electronics experiment kit.This unit perfected it. It works everytime. it has a gear that meshes into slots in the door and it turns and the door goes up or down. perfect. And the included solar panel keeps it fully charged at all times.I really like this door and im not losing my girls to predator now (unless they just fail to go in). it beeps before it shuts which alerts them to get in quick. and the girls are usually inside just before it beeps anyway. with the change of daylight times though, i need to figure out how to time them so they dont get left outside. but you can set it to open/shut w the light/dark or on a timer, which was my problem as the days are getting longer the door shut too early. Thats not the doors fault though, thats me for not accounting for that. now i know.

This is a brilliant addition to my coop. It means not having to rush out in the morning to open the door. The hens know instinctively when to return to the coop and I've set the timer to close roughly around sunset which is plenty of time. I live that it's solar powered and so far even though we haven't had a lot of sun lately, it's power is still charging well. A great product and very good value for money.

If the price is too good, it probably is. The size of the door is okay for my roosters and my chickens but it's certainly tight. Tested safety by closing the door on a piece of Styrofoam and it chopped it in half. Doors also had sand in the tracks right out the box. Door sounded super gritty when it would operate. Programming confusing. Unsure what the different modes are. Instructions are not clear. I set the clock to correct time before programming and setup the solar panel as it instructs. Door worked for one week, then stopped working altogether. Won't open in the morning. Won't close at night. Now it won't even open manually with the remote or by pushing the up arrow. Ultimately I have just paid for a prison door while I am out of town. Ugh
