This shipment contained 400 shims, 100 of each size, where each size is a different color.The spacers are sturdy plastic that will flex rather than break.I don't do tiling that often, so I like using spacers between rows to keep me honest. These are u-shaped, with a uniform thickness all the way around the U. That means they can go between the tiles tips-first, or sideways. I thought I might be able to use the shim to clear out the grout lines but the shim is kind of blunt for that. They ARE reusable after a tiling job.There are other places where flat shims work better than the angled ones. I'm thinking of doors and windows I've installed where I needed shims of uniform thickness. it's a great assortment to have on hand.
