There's a film on both sides of each drop to peel off if you want the drops to be fully clear. It took me maybe 10 minutes to do. Definitely a bit of a nuisance to do but def not necessary to do to get them functional. Many plastic acrylic things have to have films like this to protect them from scratches before they get to you so it is what it is. The drops work excellently for me so far and are very pretty to me, and at a modest price point. I'm pleased!

These are exactly what I’ve been looking for. The large holes are perfect for needlepoint wools. It took a while to figure out the best way to remove the coating but tweezers in the corner worked, and I soon got the hang of it.

This is my third order of these floss drops. I really like them as they are very sturdy and were a good value. There is room to add a sticker with the thread number on one side and the symbol on the other.

Have had one so far and have just opened one pkg of these. One so far broke off at the tip when put on the ring. Have only done 10 colors so far.

Have no idea why people are complaining so much about these! Absolutely the best deal anywhere!! These are very thick and strong. I only had one broken one but so what, the price can't be beat. These things are so expensive if you want to store all of your floss on drops and have most of the dmc colors which are hundreds of colors. Mine came with frosty protectant film (to prevent scratches during shipping) which needs to be removed. I'm leaving film on because I like the way it looks frosty. I'm buying a couple hundred more right now before all gone! :)

I use them for my cross stitch floss. I set up my projects with the floss, pattern and fabric! I read a review where someone said they were disappointed because they weren’t clear, as shown, but they come with a film over both sides so they don’t get scratches and of course, you peel them off!

I was a little disappointed when I saw that these aren't as clear as I hoped. I'm still keeping them and they're still good, I just wanted them to be more clear nad less foggy.

Smaller than paper drops, need sticker to label, and will not pass over hinge on ring. Does have extra hole for partially used floss. Could mark with permanent marker but I fear mark will get on fabric.

Very impressed with the quantity of drops for the price and I love that it came with a ring to put them on. The drops themselves are a nice size and great quality. I used a label maker to add the floss numbers and there was just enough space to stick them. I will order these again when I start kitting up my next cross stitch project.
