This is an excellent Dictaphone for the price. I began my career as a legal secretary and progressed to law school a long time ago. I like the fact that this Dictaphone has all the bells and whistles I remember from my career as a legal secretary. There is a dial to set the limit on the amount of backspacing you get when you release the foot pedal. The foot pedal is comfortable and practical. The machine accommodates micro and mini cassettes and gives a countdown as to the amount of information contained on the tape. You can listen to the tape by utilizing the foot pedal or the listen button located on the top of the console. The tonality of the machine is very good. The speed of play is adjustable for fast typists or slow typists. Overall this is a great Dictaphone. I highly recommend it.
