Bought for 2000 jeep tj dana 30, it does not snap tight as it has about a 3/16” gap and will not go together, very upsetting

As most of these review say, the fit is pretty terrible for the way the part is intended to be secured. After busting my knuckle twice trying to make it work, I cut off the tab lock side and drilled a hole to match the corresponding side and used zip ties to secure it in place. I think it will hold well, we shall see.

Item seems just like the factory (2) piece guard. I actually used the Yukon (1) piece guard during this repair, and am saving this one, if I ever have an axle guard failure, and don’t wish to pull the axle.

Figured some of these reviews had to be wrong. Nope. Doesn't fit dana 30 27 spline axles.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The concept is really good, you don't even have to pull your front axle to replace the dust seal. The execution is terrible. The ID is too small to easily fit over the axle shaft, so you have to use channel locks to seat it in place. Then the plastic clips aren't strong enough to hold the two halves together. I was able to clip one side, glue it with super glue, then clamp the other side and glue it also. It's in place, but warped, and doesn't really keep anything out of the axle tube. It's total junk!!! Either buy a one piece shield, or spend the extra money on the sealed greaseable units that actually "seal" the axle tube.

i couldn't get it to stay on my axle shaft. I ended up breaking one of the plastic snap. just get one that slids on
