It did fit my 1977 CJ5. I had the instrument panel/dash removed so it was very simple to install. Fit well! Plastic is pretty thin but it will do the job better than the chewed up factory cardboard.

A huge upgrade from the original card stock material. I had to trim one edge to get it to fit snugly against the upper firewall. I had to replace the original flexible duct as well. My defrost now blows stronger than ever.

Hard to install hard to get it around the instrument cluster you have to pull the dash back to get it in but works well .

Worked out great on my 74 cj5. I used the factory holes and bought some bolts and nylock nuts from the hardware store and it fit just perfect. The hose that goes from the heater vent unit to the defrost duct seems to be impossible to find but I ended up buying a custom air intake hose from the auto parts store and made that work. Overall it works great! I am very satisfied.

This duct doesn't fit on a 1976 CJ5. It extends into the area where the back of the voltmeter protrudes through the dash plate. You can not install it with the voltmeter in place. I called the manufacturer and left a message to get help and they never bothered to return my call. Don't waste your money on this part.
