First let me say that I love this tea set. My grandkids love this tea set. My daughter thinks its adorable and wants one for her house. It is SOOO cute, the quality is amazing, I would get it again in a heartbeat.But, it's not all wood. The teapot, cups, saucers, and possibly the top of the display plate are some other material. My last picture shows the seam down the middle of the teapot. It doesn't feel like plastic, it's much heavier and more substantial feeling. In fact, to me it feels like stoneware, but I'm sure it's not. Maybe some kind of resin material?Anyway, whatever it is, it feels hefty and durable and I don't think it's a downgrade from wood, but I need to note it since it is billed as a wooden tea set. And it is my personal policy to deduct a star when an item is not described accurately, even if I love it otherwise.So cute, encourages imaginative play. Recommended.

This is a truly gorgeous set! It seems durable! As other reviews pointed out, where this set excels is that the teapot spout is one piece as well the handles on the cups. Everything is child sized for little hands, bright but, not obnoxious colors, very beautiful! I purchased this for my nieces who turn 5/6 respectively in the next month. I can’t wait to watch them enjoy it when they visit. I think this would be appropriate for any child over age 3.
