Bought a pair and the one I installed doesn't work correctly. It works as it should about 3 times then just stays on. This is with a setting of 3 minutes and low for distance

This was perfect for my application I chose to buy a two pack of their lights as I only needed 1 motion detector I had the drill bit and tap to adapt this if you do not have these tools buy it pre assembled

This motion sensor is necessary if you do not want to replace an entire light. The motion sensors are the weak point on most LED outdoor security lights. The range on this replacement was effective at about 25 feet. I will test the settings, attempt to make some adjustments, and if I can get the motion detection range to show better distance performance I will then update this review.

Instructions are straight forward. Turn off power to the lights. Remove lights. Cut the red, white and black wires from the old sensor. Here's the hard part...removing the nut from the sensor...had a heck of a time breaking the nut free....but after some persuasion...the nut came loose. Okay...next...insert new sensor...but be careful screwing the metal nut onto the new sensor...easy to cross thread. Okay...tighten the nut making sure the sensor is positioned with the upside up. Strip the wires on the light side. Crimp the red to red...white to white...black to black. Adjusted to D2D and timer to 10. Reattach to the power...white to white and black to black...ground to ground....adjust the gasket between the light fixture and box. Center screw. Turn on. And wallah...new sensor installed. Shined a flashlight into the sensor and lights turned off. Shined flashlight away and lights came on. Will try to watch tomorrow to see if this sensor fix the on-off-on-off syndrome where the sensor would turn on the lights, but sense the lights turned on and then turn off the lights....repeats until it's darker. Similar with sunrise where the original sensor would turn off but it's too dark and turn the lights back on. Off and on over and over again. Will update...Update: The D2D works perfectly. No blinking off and on. Just comes on when the sun sets and goes off when the sun rises.

This motion sensor is almost impossible to install due to its lead wire length. The lead wire is much too short. Most other units give you at least 2” more so you don’t have to strain to make your connections. The unit was also difficult to set the motion sensor and time on.

This item was bought and used to replace some unknown higher priced product which stopped working at my house's front entry-way. Instead of being motion-sensed, I chose the dusk-to-dawn (darkness activated) option as I was concerned someone could trip or fall before the light was activated when walking toward the front door; just have the light on all night and let the dusk turn the front light on every day. Some electrical knowledge and skills are good to know if personally installing or replacing existing hardware.
