These Pure 2 balls are rugged, durable and play well. They are softer and have larger holes than the more popular faster balls. One group I play with insists on using this ball. Other groups I've played with are skeptical of this ball because it looks more like an indoor ball and some players have simply refused to play with it. I own multiple sets/models of balls and make certain I bring ones that players that day will like.

These seem to have just enough extra heft to do better on a windy day. Unfortunately the public park where I play has so many people who only like their brand of ball. Onix needs to do some advertising..... I'm tired of arguing with these "ball snobs" that this is a legitimate, legal, outdoor ball.

We use Frankline x for warm weather and this for winter as it is very durable. It's good for cold weather.

Play pickleball with the family including younger kids. Good ball for beginners and kids with the higher bounce... longer play and more fun. Get this is you don't want to focus on competitive play.

I play pickleball a lot and after breaking Franklin X-40's night after night in cold weather I decided to try these. They are harder than the franklins and have a slightly different bounce but other then that they are great pickleballs. They show no signs of wear after several games and don't lose layers like the Franklin balls. The best part is THEY DO NO CRACK in sub 45 degree weather. Definitely worth the money. Arguably they are better then the Selkirk Pro 1 balls that have a 1yr warranty to no crack.

The color is great. The build makes them fast and responsive. Truly a joy on the court. Apologies. I love this game a bit too much (sniff... pads tear from eye). The surface has the perfect finish for creating a nice little spin. Oh dear, I'm feeling the emotion of it welling up again. (Just get them... really perfect pickleballs.)

IMHO, Onix makes the best pickleballs for both outdoors and indoors. I have purchased Beethoven balls numerous times for outdoor play. They are durable and have a good bounce. However compared to the Onix balls, they are like hitting rocks. Onix balls have a great bounce, are durable (one of our players has 8 balls for over two years and they are holding up great) yet have a true hit and are perfect for either a power player or placement player.
