I purchased these to replace one that had broken on a purse strap. It was a super match, and seems to be holding beautifully. However, there was no installation tool included. It would’ve been nice to have two small pieces of metal or a crimper to hold it While installing. I happen to have a crimping tool that I use for applying snaps to garments, which worked well for me. Overall, I’m very happy with the product so far.

I use a lot of rivets for my leather work and these are by far the worst I’ve used. Typically with snap rivets, they don’t have to be the exact depth of the leather you’re going through, as you can just overdrive them into the caps and they are still secure. With these, unless the leather is 7-7.5mm thick, the snaps ALWAYS go in at an angle, no matter how straight and carefully you tap them. I waste about 3 just to get one to securely snap - and even still, it’s not entirely straight. Very frustrating and will not buy again from this vendor.

While these are a decent value for the money, especially for light duty use or just reinforcing existing sewing, I wouldn't trust these on their own or for heavy duty things, as they're quite flimsy
