Everything works and plays just fine. My problems are with the screen and speakers. The colors on the screen looks like all the saturation has been removed. The speakers are also very low quality. I'd recommend using headphones if you buy this.

My player looks like is brand new and was in the original box. Maybe they sent a new one by mistake?? Audio is pretty tinny, so I hooked up a set of computer speakers with a subwoofer to the headphone out port.. Now the audio is fantastic! The picture is also VERY good, even in the default settings. The remote works like a charm! Great buy!!!

Good variety of Inputs/ Outputs ; great HD level screen resolution . Overall, a very nice portable unit for the price ; comparable to major brands in quality .

This was defective as expected but was hoping the display would be good but there is a dead pixel is why someone returned in the first place. The dead pixel is very distracting when that area is dark. The sound and picture is very good but not sure if I will return it as a new one cost much more. I won’t buy anything used with a display again.

I would recommend this device to anyone. It is just what I needed. Now I dont have to make an appointment with my roommate to watch my movies. It is compatible with headphones. I really like that feature so I can watch day or night and not bother my roommate. Even though fit is refurbished, the picture and sound is very good.

I got mine renewed, so I was happy with the price. This is a good player that I have had no problems running any Blu Rays or DVDs with. It has memory to remember where you stopped on a DVD. The remote is good. Battery life took me through 2 feature length movies.I bought this to take on Camping trips, and ran into a couple cons to be aware of:- No Speakers, but comes with ear buds. I already had an external speaker. No bluetooth so it'll need a headphone jack connection. There's also an HDMI out which I haven't tried yet, but it caries sound information to a TV.- Compared to the laptop I was using before (it's getting hard to find a laptop with an optical drive) the blacks on the display are poor, which means things look a little washed out, but comparing the price of this to a laptop... No brightness or contrast settings to adjust. Forget watching a dark movie in sunlit conditions.- 12V DC adapter. I bought this for camping, so connected this directly to a 50 AmpHour Lithium battery, and immediately the motor that spins the disc shut off. A volt meter and some investigation later, found that the player has a narrow operating band. You probably won't run into this with a car battery, but AGM and Lithium batteries actually put out a little more than 12V, my lithium battery put out 14 V. This higher voltage was too much for the DC input to the player. I had to pick up a "DC Voltage Reducer Converter DC 8V-40V to 12V 3A 36W Automatic Step Down Up Voltage Regulator", just under $20 here on Amazon, to force the 14V down to 12V. Now it runs amazing. As I write this, I'm watching my 4th feature length film and my lithium battery is still over 90% charge.Overall, for the price, this is a pretty good unit, and if you can live with those cons as I have, you'll be happy with it.

I finally had to break down and buy a blu ray player, since there are some shows and movies only available on blu ray I want. Unfortunately, blu rays aren't cheap (especially portable ones, the cheapest I could find was around $150+). So when I stumbled across this, I was a little wary. I typically don't buy refurbished products, just as a personal preference, but I'm trying to save money and the return policy looked like a good deal.This is practically brand new and I love it. The disc player is a little noisy, there is no menu button (you'll have to use the remote provided), and for some reason, it never picks up from where I stopped it/it always restarts like it's the first time I'm putting it in. BUT it works beautifully and the picture quality is gorgeous. The box it came in was a little beat up and worn and I was super worried, but again, this came out like brand new. I have yet to have any problems with and I'm so happy I got this.As my first refurbished purchase, this was a fantastic experience!
