Product Description

The SSA45 adapter provides an effective solution to eliminate speaker wobble. Simply attach the adapter to your favorite On-Stage stands speaker stand, then mount your speaker as usual. A manually activated ring controls sliders that expand to fill the gap between the pole and the speaker's insert, reducing the degree of wobble from wind, sound, or audience vibrations. Your speaker will stand straight, giving you peace of mind and adding a professional look to your set up. Fits on 1-3/8" Stands and mounts to any speaker cabinet with an integrated pole mount.

Very easy and quick to use. I am very happy I found this.

The primary issue with this adapter is that in order to tighten the flanges, you have to push up on the adapter. With speakers whose openings aren’t very loose, this means you can never slide the locking ring all the way and therefore can never get a wobble free installation. It works and the price is reasonable, but it’s not perfect. I also have other adapters by another brand with a screw type system and those work perfectly. Of course they cost much more than these.

This works great to kill the wobble on subs, you can use it on the subwoofer hole or the speaker hole or both if you buy 2

I bought two of these to use with my wood cabinet powered speakers that weren't sitting straight on my OnStage speaker stands. They worked perfectly with my EV ELX112P, EV ELX115P, and Mackie SRM550 speakers. They, also, worked great with my QSC K10 speakers (plastic composite cabinets without any speaker socket tightening knobs). I hate the look of off-centered and crooked speakers. These adapters solved the problem perfectly!

I have JBL PRX715s two-way speakers that I usually use on Ultimate Support TS-100B air-powered speaker stands. Despite the stands being solid and high-quality and the speakers being the same, they looked unstable and unprofessional as the speakers tilted and wobbled. After a lot of research, I thought this speaker adapter was the best solution for the money. I wasn't 100% sure it would work with the JBL PRXs. For those who are wondering, they fit and work well. While the lean isn't entirely gone, it's hardly noticeable if at all. For the money, great solution. My only issue with the device is that there is a silver ring on them under the tightening screw, which standouts from the otherwise non-distracting, all-black look. Also, sometimes it's hard to tell if these things are fully extended and clicked into place when you push up the mechanism. I feel like this would be more effective if it was engineered so you twisted the ring instead of pushing it up. Presumably the twisting would allow the pressure pads to extend out even further until absolutely no gap existed.

A neat concept, but they introduced another point of separation and additional wobble on my speaker stands. Also, they are made of steel, are heavy and rust a bit. I stored them in my collection of stuff that's no longer being used.

These do not provide enough expansion for any but the slightest oversized stand pockets. I ordered primarily to stabilize a Roland Cube Street EX amp on a standard speaker stand, and these do not provide sufficient expansion to do that job without additional shimming. They do tighten in the sockets of a couple of other speakers I have, but those are already sufficiently close to minimize wobble. I would not recommend these to anyone.
