I bought this so that i can monitor 25 cameras in 3 different apartment buildings in different parts of the city. I am testing it now and the software is similar to the 8 camera NVR we have been using for several years. this makes it very easy to use. it does have a ton of new features but its so similar i have no questions when i use it. Its very nice that i can put several hard drives in it. I have put in a 4gb and two 1gb drives that were just sitting around.My plan is to connect it with a VPN to two other buildings. they each have 8 cameras now but i will be adding more soon because this NVR can handle 32 cameras total. I don't think i will have to worry about overloading it anytime soon. my plan is to leave the 8 cameras NVRs recording at each building but then also record with this 32 camera NVR at the main office location also. One screen will show all 25 cameras from 3 buildings all at once. I will also use an HDMI to ONVIF adaptor to display our swipe card door access system computer screen as one of the cameras. So if I see someone go through a door the recorded computer screen output will show me whose card was swiped. I will update this review with pictues and details again when i get it all working!Update:I found a 4tb drive in my drawer and it reminded me that there is 4 hard drive bays in this NVR. It took me less than 10 min to install the second drive and format it. Instantly I had more than another month of storage available. It’s really a great feature that I can put up to a maximum of 40gb of storage in this NVR.I am pretty happy with this purchase so far. I don’t think I will outgrow it any time soon!
