Very cute toy. Magnetic adherence not very strong

We were excited to get these. Magnets are not strong and fall off the little faces. The cards are low quality stock paper and I can’t see them lasting long and estimate they will degrade quickly. The premise of the product is fabulous, the quality is poor.

Was a bit annoyed to see I was sold a clearance item from Target, but it does the job i suppose. My son loves it.

This toy is such a hit for our family. The engaging and silly monsters make this fun and disarming for the children but the message is there, it really helps to open discussion about emotional intelligence for my kids in a fun way. I also love that the pieces are magnetic and come in their own case so we can even take this on the go. The pieces are very good quality, flexible magnets and my children really enjoying creating their monsters. It's also helped with reading/word recognition! Highly recommend.

My child was very excited about this product. She liked the dress up options for the various characters included in the set. The set comes with the parts stuck in a magnetic sheet so children will likely need help separating the pieces because they can be a little difficult for small hands to deal with. The set works great in the tin that it comes in but my child wanted to put her creations on the fridge and the magnetic quality is not the best for this type of endeavor. The magnets are weak, so it really only works well in the original tin.

Magnetic Dress-up Playset for Kids - Mix and Match Magnetic Outfits, Accessories, and Characters - Ages 4 and UpMy grandchildren love magnetic dress-up and play sets. They do not require much room to be used and are very portable. All that is needed to play fits into the tin making them easily accessible and easy to clean up. But this set has some very special attributes. Research has shown the best way for children to learn is through play, and this magnetic dress-up set provides a great opportunity for doing just that while having a lot of fun. The clothing and accessories that are included actually represent a variety of career opportunities that children can explore either independently or with some assistance from an adult. At the same time, the four magnetic “dolls” are racially diverse and can be accessorized as any gender a child chooses. There are cards included that cover 16 professions showing the clothing that might be worn, describing the nature of the jobs and also highlighting traits of people who choose those careers. There are also information cards for adults that describe ways in which they can support children’s cognitive and social skills while they play. That is not to say that children can’t simply play with this on their terms and create their own scenarios. There is value in both approaches. The components of this set are great. The magnets are fairly easy for an adult to punch out and are quite thick and durable. The magnetic dolls are quite appealing, reminding me of some popular cartoon characters. The colors are bright and vivid. I would suggest using a magnetic board or tray with the dolls. While the clothing and accessories adhere to the characters, we had some trouble keeping them from sliding while dressing them. The inside of the tin can be used, but not for multiple characters, or if a child wants to organize the clothes and accessories. A cookie sheet worked well for us. The only criticism came from my five year old granddaughter. She was a bit upset that the pink hair she saw on one of the characters before punching out the pieces was not removable and could not be played with. I fixed that problem with a pair of scissors. The new pink hair is not as sturdy as the other props, but she is happy. I find the price of this product to be very fair for the amount of use it will get. This would also make a lovely gift.

This is a fantastic set that is both a fun toy and a useful tool! First of all, Social/Emotional learning is incredibly important for children's development and instrumental in their success in life as a whole. It is so important to teach children emotions beyond just the most basic: mad, sad, happy. This set is great to help get those conversations started at a young age. I got this to use in my Kindergarten classroom and it is a great resource to use when talking about emotions as a group or to help an individual child show how they are feeling in at any given moment. It is great to help children learn to talk about, understand and begin to regulate their emotions. I put this set in my Calm Corner.Second, this set is so cute! The monsters are colorful and glossy with so many fun facial expressions to try. It's like those Create-a-Face sticker sheets my students love but you can use them over and over again! This set comes in a tin with 6 magnetic monsters with multiple sets of magnetic facial expressions and word magnets for 24 different emotions. It has so many pieces to make just about any expression on the monsters you could think of! It also comes with cards to demonstrate specific emotions with so much wonderful information on the back of each card talking about what that emotion feels like, facial expressions and body language a person might show if they were feeling that emotion and situations in which a person might feel that way. You can use the magnetic pieces to reproduce the emotions on each card or you could use them to make any facial expression you choose. The monsters also demonstrate feeling with their bodies through the position of their arms and legs. It comes with two cards that give ideas for activities to do with the set and everything fits nicely in the little tin box, which doubles as a magnetic surface for the pieces as well. The only problems with the set that I can forsee is that the pieces are small and likely to be easily lost. All the magnets stick to the tin very well, but the facial expressions stick to the monsters a little loosely. Lastly, the magnets are thin, so they can be easily bent and would break or rip with too much bending. Some of the thinner parts of the magnets, like the arms and legs of the monsters, but especially the middle of the glasses, will bend and break easily.Still, I feel like this set is worth the price and any minor problems it may have because of how fun and valuable of a tool it is.

Enlightened, we now talk about EQ as well as IQ. I think this toy helps build "emotional intelligence"; a child can play with the various included cards to gain familiarity and recognition of various emotions. It could be a good supplement (clearly not a substitute) to live interpersonal interactions
