Very happy with this guitar and it's sound. The gig bag is much nicer than I expected too. A great instrument for the affordable price.Due to financial hardships I had to sell mine and I plan to replace it with another Orangewood eventually.

Bought amazon resale - Had a blemish or scratch probably from previous shipping. Price was reduced due to the condition. It is an excellent guitar. Set up was perfect. I am very impressed. I have owned over 20 different makes and models of Acoustic guitars and this guitar is superb. I have never had a guitar that I didn't have to adjust the truss rod, the bridge saddle, neck nut etc... except for this guitar. This guitar sounds excellent too. I have bought many used guitars too and will probably never buy a used guitar again. The used market is flooded and the asking prices are way too high- you are better to buy a new guitar. Maybe I just got lucky? This Orangewood Manhattan guitar I own is my new favorite. I've owned a lot of guitars low end up to high end and this one is excellent. Solid top expensive acoustic guitars are way overrated. The Manhattan is a layered spruce top- don't let that be a discouraging factor.

This is a great guitar! I wanted a cheaper guitar that I could "noodle" on and this fits the bill in spades. I own many guitars, I can say honestly that the build quality is excellent. Any beginner should be proud to have a fine instrument. I am probably going to replace the strings but literally out of the box it sounds awesome. Gonna place a pick guard in the future. GET EM WHILE THEY'RE ON THE CHEAP!!

I purchased the Orangewood Manhattan because of the reviews I have read and I was not disappointed! This guitar plays just as good as it looks. The contrasting colors of wood and other accents make this a beautiful guitar. One of the other reasons I chose an Orangewood is because their guitars are professionally setup before being shipped. Mine played great right out of the box. It comes with a nice gig bag too. You are getting a really nice guitar for the price!

Hello, I had little to no expectations of this instrument. I got this guitar as a travel beater, and I just needed something other than my electric to play since I smashed my last acoustic. This guitar is really decent. Pros: fretboard is skinny and easy to do electric style speed picking with hammers and pulloffs. Cons: 1 dink to this and its going to break, really cheaply made in china and the wood is super skinny. I would reccommend you buy a Yamaha instead. I have been playing for 12 years and just wanted a beater because all you need is skill not gear, but im still pretty happy with the purchase so far. Just put some DR brand strings on it. I would reccommend this as a gift, for beginners just buy a Yamaha its going to sound way better. Cheers everyone. And thanks Orangewood no disrespect I would still probably buy another one to beat up.

I received it today and am totally impressed by the build Quality and playability of this guitar was not expecting the Quality for the price. the build of this Manhattan is great, And I was amazed at the playability right out of the case intonation and string height were right on which is amazing for buying online. the sound is unbelievable for a laminated top, bright highs and deep lows and great sustain like a dreadnaught should sound. I have and still own many guitars over the years and this one sits as a good guitar sounds great even though it has no electronics. I would definitely recommend this for an accomplished player who doesn't want to take the expensive guitar the expensive one out for fear of damage. this one fits the bill for accomplished players who want a great sound as well as beginners. would definitely recommend . a lot of bang for the buck, thanks Orange wood for making a great inexpensive guitar.

I don't think they actually "set them up" in California before they send them out. Because mine showed up with a snapped brace, of which caused the action to be SUPER high because the top was flexing. This should have been super obvious to the person "setting it up". The pictures don't do it justice, that crack was horrifying, I noticed it immediately, I was pretty disappointed.I contacted OW guitars told them about the issue. I was super cool about it. Also told them I would just glue, clamp, and call it good to go. Because I'm a hobby wood worker. I did just that, removed the strings, I opened up the crack and injected in some wood glue, clamped it up for 24 hours, and it's good to go now. Except for its super high action... but it plays ok for a toy/hobby grade guitar.I bought it to give to a student, I was excited to give it away so I didn't want to wait for a replacement. This is where I made my mistake. I should have just boxed it up and sent it right back. They said they would send me some swag for my issues, hat stickers whatever... they never followed through. This triggered my review.I would avoid mail ordering any guitar. Just go to a local music store and be sure the one you are purchasing is setup, and is in 100% playing order before you spend your hard earned cash. I fell for their Instagram add... hook line and sinker.I was giving OW time to follow through before I wrote this review, but it is what it is now. Maybe their higher end guitars are better, the YouTubers sure seem to think so.***UPDATE***The hat they promised for all the troubles showed up, smashed into a media envelope. USPS had written "not media, postage due" on it the envelope with a black marker. What a joke. In the end I let the student make the decision and he decided he wants to keep the guitar. So at some point we will just upgrade him in a year or so. Maybe find a nice used Taylor for him.
