Do yourself a favor and buy this instead of cheaper Chinese junk.CHinese fuel lines collapse under load....These DO NOT.... they are same quality as OEM for fraction of the price.Would buy again

product is the correct fit and product for the ms290 and installed fairly easy but after only one use of the saw after replacing this item the saw wouldnt start i opened the fuel cap and the fuel filter was off well uon further inspection the new line had spit at the end ehere the filter goes so now its useless if your going to sell the product make sure its gona last more than one use i took it to the stihl dealer guy said the instalation was great the line wasnt a good quality he put a stihl line on it for me and it worked just fine and has ever since sorry oregon but u need to look at this one and try again.

After watching a video, I decided this was not a major job. some of the cheaper fuel lines were criticized for being smaller diameter so this looked like the best choice. Fits and works perfectly. now the saw doesn't run out of fuel with half of a tank left. You will need to judge for yourself if you have the skill to remove the carb and fuel line.

I figured the Oregon brand would be better than the other cheaper aftermarket ones. No such luck. Seems just like the cheap chinese stuff, sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you don't. End of the tube split after I put the fuel filter back on.
