It retrofit on my 1984 lawnmower with a B&S 3.5HP engine. Mount the throttle control, slide the cable in first , cut to length the casing, cut the cable to length and put a Z bend on the end at the carburetor and you are good to go. I used the existing hole and drilled another hole for the throttle assembly bolts.

The cable works fine in pull mode, but is weak in push mode. On a stiff throttle application, the sheath just stretches instead of closing the throttle. (Predator 6.5 HP.)

See my attached picture of the throttle as installed on my mower.This isn't the most pretty thing in the world, but it is very much functional.Comments:- The conduit was of good quality, throttle control slides in it fine- You will have to cut to fit, this was easy, pull back the throttle cable, cut conduit, and slide the control wire back in. Easy.- Adjustable 'drag' on the throttle. You can loosen or tighten the locknut to make the tension higher so it stays in place as you wish. Good featureAll in all, installed easy, cut to fit easily, and adjustable drag is a great feature. I like it!

Ugly, but it sure gets the job done. This is really well made and has some nice design features. Won't win any aesthetic awards, but in terms of functionality and (expected) durability, I'm not sure you can beat this. What I really liked about it was the degree of control you have in adjusting it to your application. Lever "drag" (resistance) is adjustable, cable length is adjustable and so is the total throw distance. Having the wound metal jacket was perfect for my application - the last one I bought looked a lot nicer, but turned out to be unusable due to the cheap way the cable was attached to the lever and due to the plastic outer tube. This one will last forever, is my guess, and other one costs 50% more.
