This is plastic. Just FYI since no info is listed. I received this exact same license plate cover over a year ago from the same manufacturer and it was metal. Granted the metal one's lettering started chipping off after a year. So, just know you're getting either a temporary cover or a light weight one. The metal and the plastic actually look identical side by side, but the weight difference gives it away.
