When these arrived, I realized just how much I had sewn this month and was past the time frame of how often to change a needle in a sewing machine. In the past month I have sewn 4 quilt tops with the border, batting, binding and quilting yet to go. But the time of sewing over the last year plus my last bit of sewing, meant it was definitely time to change the needle and clean out the machine. As I am piecing quilt tops currently I put in the size 12 needle And cleaned out all the bobbin area and everything else under needle plate. I have found that the best thing to clean out dust from there is to use a small paint brush. It manages to grab onto dust very well. After cleaning out the machine, I threaded it and put a new bobbin in. I had no trouble with the needle, but I did have trouble with the thread breaking several times.I like how the needle performed and having some of every size is great and will keep me sewing for a long time. I appreciate the opportunity to try out these needles. Thank you.

So far, I'm happy with these needles. This set contains the three most common sizes in both universal and ballpoint (or you can choose one point style). It's a good pack for the hobbyist who likes to make a variety of projects. I haven't run into any problems with the needles themselves. The universals are sharp, and they are holding up quite well to multiple layers of fabric.My one tiny complaint is that I wish the ballpoint packets were marked more obviously. They do have "BP" on them, but I'm afraid I'll accidently grab one out of the drawer months from now when I really mean to pull out the universals. I think I'll stick them in a separate baggy with a large label, so that I don't make a mistake.Made in Vietnam

These are quality sewing machine needles. The most recent sewing machine I purchased came with some Organ needles, so that is all I use in it. These needles are ball point, so they work especially well when I'm Free Motion Quilting. But you can use them for regular sewing or piecing quilt blocks. They come in six different sizes, so it's easy to have the needle you need for the fabric or project you are working on. And getting 10 needles of each size is great! Maybe I'll remember to change my needle more often since I have so many!I have a list of five quilts and a couple of other sewing projects that I need to complete, so at least I can scratch off getting enough needles for each project off of my "to do" list.
