Hard to drink instead of coffee!Needs alot of sugar! I don't use sugar so this doesn't work for me!It does mix well with hot water.

It does get the job done, however this one does make you have a little bit of an afternoon crash. Other brands that I've tried do not have this effect. I tried this one as per more types of mushrooms than some of the others. But lacks in the energy management.

We were really enjoying Everyday Dose and reaping great benefits from it, but needed some mushroom coffee to sustain us until our next order arrived. This was available for next day delivery, so we thought we would just choke it down til "the good stuff" arrived. Well, HELLO!! This stuff is AMAZING!!!! We are cancelling our subscription to Everyday and adding this to Subscribe & Save!First, it's delicious (though admittedly it tastes about the same as the aforementioned product).Second, this product contains many more varieties of mushrooms than the other product!Third, it FROTHS beautifully!! Better than the other one! I add it to 5 oz of hot water and froth away. Then I add some hot Oat Milk and froth again. To me, that's the perfect way to drink it! My husband prefers his dissolved in coffee with Starbucks non-Dairy Caramel Macchiato creamer. (Still I froth his.) The powder dissolves almost immediately in water! It's a piece of cake to make!I really can't say enough about this fabulous blend! I'm so glad we ran out of our other one and decided to get this as a space-filler.The only down side to mushroom coffee is that, for me anyway, it apparently operates as a MEGA-antidepressant! I mean that's great, except when I had to go without it ..even one day... I was EXTREMELY depressed... something that isn't normally me. But it was obvious and shocking. One cup of this and I was back to myself, except also CLEAR THINKING and with energy!

They claim this small jar contains 36 servings, but the suggested serving size is 1tsp per 5oz of liquid. I don't know about you folks, but I've never heard of a 5oz "cup" of coffee. I used 10oz and 2tsp, because I wanted the correct ratio. The powder mixes nicely in hot water. It seems to dissolve completely. There is no grittiness. First taste (without any add-ins) was VERY bitter. I'm a "cream and sugar" gal, but I wanted to taste it first. I added 1.5 Tbsp of sugar to combat the bitterness. This improved my flavor experience, but still on the bitter side. I added some 2% milk (maybe a little too much) and that produced a palatable drink. It actually has a nice, almost smokey aftertaste, once you get it "seasoned" the way you want and a distinctive "coffee" flavor. I like this beverage. Compared to the KOS which I'm also trying right now. This one has fewer calories (20 vs 35 per comparable serving size) and less caffeine (40mg vs 60mg per comparable serving size). It's also slightly less expensive per comparable serving size at $1.10 per 10oz cup vs $1.18 per 10oz cup. So far, this one is on my short list of coffee alternative beverage choices.

Ingredients: I ordered this because after looking at the mushrooms included in it and noticing that they had a few that included a few that were different from the usual mushroom coffee. I looked them up and was very excited and settled my choice on this one.Flavor: I hate to say it but this actually tasted better than a regular cup of the national franchise chain coffee and ALOT better than most of the instant coffees I have had over the years. And when I say it tasted better, I mean THIS coffee I am drinking black with nothing added and it is not only palatable but yummy. I could never say that about everything else I have drank that was in the coffee category (some were equally good but so strong or with a bitterness that I ended up adding things to it). Being able to drink this black and be happy with the taste is a huge testimony for me. I'll be buying this again.Mushroom effects: I am a type 2 diabetic and currently struggling to keep my sugar under control (out of control stress and a sedentary lifestyle will do bad things to your blood sugar no matter how well you eat). I love the medicinal mushrooms in this coffee and I will come back and edit this with a report on how it did or didn't affect my blood sugar. Since I am waking up with sky high blood sugar, it will be easy to see if the blood sugar comes down after an hour of drinking this coffee with nothing else except meds. Unusual improvements are what I am looking for, no matter how small.Value: I won't lie. I was a little suprised by how small this container is but it IS a 2.54 oz product. Luckily, I am almost to the bottom of my first cup of this and don't feel a need to have a second cup (strangely, I am quite satisfied right now in a way that is hard to describe adequately. I wonder if this is the effect all mushroom coffees have on folks? Its quite nice). I expect it will easily last a month at this rate.Travel convenience: The container fits inside my hand (I am a 5'3" woman. My hands are average to small) and it is very light so it will easily travel in my backpack, purse or luggage without taking up space or adding weight which means I can take it to work, the gym or on trips with no inconvenience at all. Loving it so far.Highly recommended.
