The Origin8 cog is more than just stamped steel. After cracking the cog that came with my DJ, I needed to find a better design. The Origin8 cog is a thicker steel and well polished to reduce chain wear. So far it's held out better than the cranks I've broken just peddling the bike.

REVISED - The description now says 3/32". The tolerances are acceptable. We will purchase more. -- Original Comment -- The thickness is not 3/16" it is 3/32". This makes it suitable for 1/8" chain. It is narrow for 3/16" chain.

Fast shipping and Great product! I had replaced an 18t on my SS mtb with 16t. It’s big difference in terms of speed on the flat ground.

Converted my multi-speed hybrid to a single-speed in August. No problems with it at all. Been recommending it to others who were looking to convert their multi-speed bikes to single-speeds.
