Mac User
Mac users can use the Photo Booth to use this microscope directly. There is software called “Quick Camera” which can work on this microscope too.
Android User
Please scan the code above or search “OTG Viewer” on google play to get the app installation.

This microscopes can be used with the default Camera app that comes with Chrome.

Still holding up after around 3-4 years. Hasn't broke or anything. Easy to install. Carrying case is adequate. Inexpensive. Pretty portable. etc.I mainly use it to look at coins, stamps and things like that. I don't really need it to see if a plant is ready or not. I can tell just by looking at one usually. Regardless it is neat to be able to zoom in on a plant. I'm sure kids would love zooming in on different bugs, minerals, elements and what not. The light is good but I still find myself using a desk lamp over whatever coin I'm looking at. Better than a jeweler's loupe.Most of the time I have it installed on an older android phone that I no longer use and they'd give me like 50 cents for. So I use that phone to put things like this on it.Good item. [I made the attached photo a lot smaller]

Great tool to use when you need to work on tiny details. I bought it to help me repair my phone and it perfectly does the job!Easy to install, just downloaded the apps available and you can even zoom 5x extra.Very fine image details with balanced color and contrast. If needed, the app allows you to tweak them even more.I like the illumination and its brightness. Enough to do minuscule work like soldering SMD components.Very nice product for the price. I definitely recommend it.

I used this USB microscope to look at my stereo phono cartridge cantilever and needle. It works great for that. I also looked at some coins. Nice clear picture and you can just snap and save pictures to your computer. I can clearly see the diamond facets on the needle, which is so tiny, it can't be seen with a magnifying glass. So now I can see if it is worn or dirty. At first I though the needle was terribly worn or missing, but it was just covered in dirt. I cleaned it once, and I could still see some dirt or vinyl still sticking to the needle. After I cleaned it again, I could clearly see the diamond needle was just fine and not damaged or worn, and all the dirt was gone. I didn't get the red snap button on the side of the microscope to work yet, so I just took photos by mouse click with the in software App for Windows 10. I also didn't get the red Zoom button to work yet, so I need to look into that. Maybe there is a driver on the included CD or something. For now, I just downloaded the App from their website. So at this point I am just use a combination of the silver power adjustment wheel and proper distancing in order to focus properly. It is a little difficult with the included stand, but not that hard once you get used to it. I'll probably get the optional better stand that is available for it. Also, there is a light intensity control is built into the USB cord, I didn't notice it at first, and it is not noted in the minimal instruction sheet. And as it says in the instructions, don't hit the restart computer button after installing the software. I did, and I got a spinning circle forever, and then had to shut off and restart the computer. When I hit don't restart the next time, it installed and worked right away.

I hooked it up to my iMac and it worked great. Ditto for Samsung GS7. The cord is cool, with the USB flipping up to reveal the micro-USB. The micro is a very tight fit in my phone. Amazing for the price! Light is night & bright, and it's cool to zoom in to something like text on paper, then zoom more to see the invisible moisture on it, then more and you can see the 3D depth of the ink. It's been years since I played with a microscope, and I'm very happy with it. It feels well-made, instructions are simple & clear, stand holds up well, although it should have a heavier base. A+

So I got this for my daughter to observe things. It arrived on time,the packaging was good,and the stand was amazing.But the microscope's USB wasn't working properly on either phone or computer,also the type C adapter didn't come with it. Definitely not what I expected.

For sure the best microscope of its kind on the market. I couldn't tell you about the others. I haven't tried them. But I can tell you this one works very well. With the free apps that you download from your Google Store for Android, this product looks great. Very easy setup for your Android. I don't have an Apple phone so I can't tell you about the setup for that. I also did not hook it up to my computer or install the software, so I can't tell you about that either. But the picture through the app on my Android phone looks very sharp and clear using this microscope. An overall great value for the price. I know that they are cheaper ones out there but I can't imagine that they are any better. Also the company stands by their product 100%. I also did not use the stand so I can't really comment on that either. However the whole thing does come in a very nice carrying case. I highly recommend this product.

Haven't had much time to use it but so far it seems like a nice camera for the money. The included image capture software is much better than the built in Windows 10 camera app. Captures images better in low light but tends to be too high contrast using the built in LED's, especially with the reflective background on the optional aluminum stand. Using a non-reflective background helped a lot and I think with some tinkering it will do everything I need it to.My main problem is with the Measurement Application. There is an installer called ".netfix" required for the app to run. Unfortunately it tries to install an outdated version of the .NET framework so won't install on my computer which already has a more recent version. I found another measurement app called IC Measure that works although it doesn't recognize the microscope so I must save out a file and open it in that application. Less than ideal but it will work for now. I'll update this review if I hear back from the seller about a solution.

Very cool product at a great price! Comes in a sturdy case to keep things organized, but I'm not sure how often mine is going to make it back into the case, since it is so fun to keep it handy and explore. Software is not too hard to install and being able to view, photograph and even take video of samples makes it easy for everyone to be able to see (vs taking turns to look with a more traditional microscope.) It wouldn't be suitable in situations where you need to know the specific magnification at which you were viewing items as the focus goes from 40-1000x but you don't know the exact degree of magnification you happen to be at as you move between the two. The LED lights are nice and bright (and adjustable.) This would be a great gift for curious" kids" of all ages, and a fantastic introduction to the wonders of the microscopic world.
