I loved the coat but I’m returning it because I prefer a longer length also I wasn’t keen on the pockets, I found them awkward to access because the flap with the button should have been facing the other way but would have been ok with that had the coat been longer in length.

I purchased this coat for a recent trip to England. The coat was fabulous! It does run a wee bit big so keep this in mind. I am 5'6" 170# large chested. I went with the Large and it was perfect with a layers underneath (t-shirt, cardigan). But, I wish I had listened to the reviews that said the buttons fall off. They do! I had 4 fall off. Luckily I did not lose them and was able to sew them back on. Takeaway - great coat, highly recommend BUT - take the time to secure the buttons before your trip!!

The fabric is very nice and the coat it seems to be made well. But...it doesn't look like the photo because of the wrinkles. After intensive ironing and steaming, they still remain. The worse and most difficult part is the sleeves. Also in the front, between the fabric and lining I can feel a small pack of granules pellets. I have to wonder how this will react when it is laundered. The sizing is true to the provided chart. A medium is much larger than usual, while the sleeves are shorter. As I did, order accordingly to the listed measurements and not what you would normally order. The Beige is exactly as it appears in the photos. It is a nice light neutral color, very much like the London Fogs from years ago.

I wanted a single-breasted, traditional trench coat that hit just above the knee, so I purchased this in Khaki in a Large. I'm 5'2" with a hip measurement of 44". The coat fits well without being either tight or oversized, and the sleeves, which end about 1" past my wrist, are not too long. I wore it comfortably over a suit and it was not tight in the shoulders or around the hips. I love the details and it is a good weight for the transitional spring weather. The buckles on the belt and on the wrist straps are the same fabric as the coat. It's fine, but you won't like it if you prefer buckles of the same material as the buttons. The belt is 60" long so you can tie it or fasten it. Even with the length, the seven notches are properly placed. My waist is 34" and there are enough notches that I can still tighten or loosen the belt when I fasten it. The flaps over the pockets can be tucked inside which is nice. Not a big deal, but I wish they faced the back of the coat rather than the front because it would be easier to put my hands in the pockets when the flaps are out. The buttons are not sewn on well. Three buttons became so loose within the first week of wearing the coat that I was afraid they would fall off. Extra buttons come with the coat but no thread. I went to JoAnn and bought Anchor Stranded Cotton/embroidery thread in #00854 which was the closest match in color, material, weight, and style to the original thread. Aside from the way the buttons are attached, the construction of the coat seems sound. The coat is lined and the lining is attached all the way around. Overall a good value for a trench coat (there was a discount coupon offered at checkout as well at the time I purchased the coat), but no one wants to be reattaching buttons within the first week of owning a coat.

Love how this is over-sized in fit and still has well fitted sleeves! Ordering a couple of sizes up to have a cozy, fashionable trench to layer over puffers all winter long!

My reviewing associate advises me she is highly pleased with the fit, finish and style of this trench coat. It has sufficient historically inspired flaps, folds, buttons and belts to carry the cultural continuity forward to the generations of trenchcoat wearing people-about-town who will come after, while at the same time maintaining functional effectiveness in the present.Hmm...If you are like me and every so often you think "I'd like a proper trenchcoat" and then look at the iconic brands, you find that once again they are a few thousand dollars more than you can imagine spending on the most wild impulse! This shows that the primary function of high-end trenchcoats is not to keep the rain off you, though they will do that if needed, but to keep the commoner off you. Though of course you, the high-end consumer, are not spending $5,000 on a coat simply because you can and they can't, but because only you have the refined taste to appreciate such things.Well, here's a trench coat for the rest of us. It won't fool them (because they know where to look for the secret lining of $100 bills), but we can still stay dry and fashionable and solvent. I'm guess I'm saying it's a great value, and that mass production is good stuff. The only small complaint is that the penultimate top button will have to be moved over to allow fastening, even though the coat otherwise fits well and has sufficient fabric. Still, it's a good thing we checked the size chart because otherwise I would have ordered one that was too large--with the exception of the placement of that button--for my reviewing associate.

This can pass for a custom tailored coat. It is made out of thick cotton blend and it is lined. This keeps the rain off and helps with the cold weather considerably. So glad I found this. It is so attractive and looks so becoming! It is just like the featured picture on display in the description page.

This trench coat has a very modern look! My wife wife loves the feel and the texture of the fabric! It is water and stain resistant. It has a light and airy feel but is quite warm when it is chilly outside!
